Force Volleyball Academy (formerly TCA) was founded by Sander in 2008. Today, he brings over 25 years of coaching experience at the club, high school, collegiate, and National/Olympic levels. Most recently, he worked with the US Women’s National Team preparing for the 2016 Rio Olympics. He continues to be a valuable training partner with the team in California and looks forward to being on the bench for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Sander has worked with the Marian Volleyball program where the team made it to the Class A State Finals in 2014. Sander was a part of two Big Ten Championships with Michigan State (NCAA Division I) in ’95 and ’96 and was on the bench during MSU’s 1995 Final Four finish. Sander has numerous high school and club accolades including AAU and USVBA Finals appearances and MHSAA Final Four and State Final appearances.
Sander lives in Franklin with his wife, Christy, and son, Carter. They have a rescue dog, Cheppu, and two cats, Tempura & Katsu. He currently owns Dharmashop and, in his free time, enjoys reading, flying his airplane, exquisite coffee, and traveling.
